Influencers from five continents to deliver community projects and humanitarian action
DUBAI – Twenty of the world’s most influential content creators have been selected to spearhead what organisers describe as the largest digital-led social movement ever launched, as part of the ‘1 Billion Acts of Kindness’ campaign announced at the 1 Billion Followers Summit in Dubai.

‘1 Billion Acts of Kindness’
The ‘1 Billion Acts of Kindness’ campaign was officially launched on 7 November 2025, when MrBeast, who is followed by more than 873 million people across social platforms and whose videos generate over 62 billion views annually, issued a global challenge to creators. He called on them to collectively deliver one billion acts of kindness across their countries, using their content to inspire and document positive change.
Creators from across the community visited Rashid Center for People of Determination to spend quality time with the students, as part of Creators for Purpose and the 1 Billion Acts of Kindness movement, supported by Instagram and Creators HQ.

Within just three weeks of its launch, the campaign had already generated more than 170,000 humanitarian and community actions, attracting over 100 million views. Participants were invited to submit original videos showing acts of kindness and social impact, with submissions open until 1 December 2025. Entries were assessed on authenticity, storytelling impact, creativity and positive societal influence.
The initiatives submitted ranged widely, including volunteering to support the elderly, people of determination and the homeless, organising community services, raising awareness for charities, launching donation drives, planting trees and delivering workshops to expand access to skills and education.
UAE backing
Speaking at the announcement, Mohammad Al Gergawi said launching the global movement from the UAE reflects the country’s aim of transforming digital influence into meaningful action. He said the results achieved in such a short time demonstrate how technology and media can be directed to serve humanity, with content creators acting as role models who motivate millions to participate in building and empowering communities.
He added that MBRGI’s support stems from its humanitarian mission and commitment to promoting social impact through content creation, which has become one of the most influential forces shaping the future. According to Al Gergawi, the campaign enables creators’ messages to move beyond screens and inspire people everywhere to contribute through giving.
Sunny Varkey described the movement as a new chapter in digital humanitarian action, saying the Varkey Foundation’s involvement reflects its belief in education and collective effort as drivers of lasting change. By aligning the energy of content creators behind shared societal challenges, he said the initiative marks the beginning of a new era of online-led impact.
Creators’ mission
MrBeast said the selection of the 20 creators was designed to demonstrate the extraordinary power of collective influence when focused on purpose. He said the movement aims to inspire an entire generation to take action and create change that has a clear and lasting impact on communities around the world. The initiatives developed by the group will continue to be documented across platforms, turning digital storytelling into a driver for real-world results.
With tens of thousands of creators gathered in Dubai and a global audience watching online, the 1 Billion Followers Summit has positioned the ‘1 Billion Acts of Kindness’ campaign as a flagship example of how the creator economy can be mobilised to address pressing humanitarian and social needs at scale.
